What is an eTicket?
eTicket is a plastic card with electronic memory card that can be loaded with public transport tickets and is issued by ZKM in Gdynia, ZTM in Gdansk, MZK Wejherowo, higher education schools (as a student ID card) or by Bank Citi Handlowy.
Can I load season (ZKM in Gdynia) or metropolitan (MZKZG) ticket on my student ID card?
Yes. Tickets of ZKM in Gdynia and MZKZG can be loaded on a student ID card. Please check in a Customer Service Office if your school signed an appropriate agreement with ZKM in Gdynia (so far the participating higher education schools are: University of Gdansk, Gdansk University of Technology, Gdynia Maritime University, Polish Naval Academy, Wyższa Szkoła Administracji i Biznesu im. E. Kwiatkowskiego in Gdynia and Polsko-Japońska Wyższa Szkoła Technik Komputerowych). Technical requirement for loading your student ID card is to go under a process of memory “mapping” which can be done at the Customer Service Office of ZKM in Gdynia, 16 Kilińskiego Street (Mon. – Fri. 3 pm – 6 pm) or ZTM in Gdansk.
Where can I buy season tickets?
At the sale points of ZKM in Gdynia, ZTM in Gdansk and MZK Wejherowo season tickets and metropolitan tickets with tariffs as follows: 24-hour, 72-hour can be loaded on a card. Also a card issued by ZKM in Gdynia can be recharged at sale points of ZTM in Gdansk with ZTM in Gdansk tickets, and at sales points of MZK Wejherowo with tickets of MZK Wejherowo
The card issued by ZKM in Gdynia is only a ticket carrier. It is not a ticket itself. The card with public transport ticket loaded on it, is an eTicket.
Both, ZKM in Gdynia and metropolitan MZKZG tickets can be loaded on an eTicket.
At the sale points of ZKM in Gdynia, ZTM in Gdańsk, MZK Wejherowo, metropolitan tickets can be loaded. Additionally the card issued by ZKM in Gdynia can be loaded with following types of tickets: tickets of ZTM in Gdańsk (at ZTM in Gdańsk sale points), tickets of MZK Wejherowo (at MZK Wejherowo sale points).
Public transport tickets can be loaded on a student ID card if your school (ID card issuer) signed an appropriate agreement with ZKM in Gdynia.

When filling out the online application attach your photo in.jpg format, 300 dpi; maximum file size 10 MB.
Application submitted personally at selected sale points of season tickets* must be accompanied by your photo with a format of identity card. This photo will be scanned and returned to you.

You will receive an email with a confirmation of your application and a bank account number to transfer the deposit 10 zł:

It is very important to put your application number and full name in the transfer title (i.e. “700973”, John Smith)
Deposit 10 zł must be paid in cash while submitting the application at selected sale points of season tickets*

Your eTicket will be ready for pick up at the sale points you specified in your application within 14 days from receiving your deposit. Notification that your eTicket is ready will be send by email or

eTicket – a plastic card with an electronic memory issued by ZKM in Gdynia (Public Transport Authority of Gdynia) where public transport tickets can be loaded
Ticket (electronic) – loaded information on an eTicket that allows the holder to use public transport with limits of the chosen tariff and expiration date
Ticket loading – specific features are electronically recorded on the card memory which allows clear identification of the ticket. You can load your ticket only at the Sales Terminals.
Sales Terminal – device found at Customer Service Office enabling reading and recording information on the card
Information Terminal – device found at assorted Customer Service Office enabling reading information from the card
Inspection Reader – portable device used by ticket inspectors to identify information encoded on the card
Client Personal Database – eTicket users personal information (full name, address, identification number and picture) submitted on the application will be processed in accordance with the Act of 29 August 1997 on personal data protection (Dz.U.02.101.926).
Card technical characteristic
eTicket is a contactless card (proximity card) made in accordance with MIFARE standards and based on a memory chip
The card is made of plastic and has dimensions of a standard payment card (85.8x54x0.76 mm)
Each card has a unique and invariable identification number permanently programmed by memory chip manufacturer. This 10 digit number is also imprinted on the reverse of the card
The card is powered by induction of the supporting device and does not have its own power source
Communication between eTicket and a supporting device takes place by a radio signal
eTicket transaction time (i.e. ticket recharging) does not exceed 1 second.
Using the card
There is no need to validate or activate eTicket in ZKM Gdynia vehicles (ticket validation at entrance or exit of MZK Wejherowo vehicles while using metropolitan or MZK Wejherowo tickets, is required).
eTicket balance on the card can be checked at any time using ZKM in Gdynia website www.zkmgdynia.pl or Information Terminals and during opening hours of Customer Service Offices.
eTicket should not be broken, bent, exposed to high temperatures, chemicals or strong magnetic or electric fields, nor damage in any other way (i.e. by puncturing or cutting). This may cause the card stops working. Damage to the card will result in forfeiture of deposit.
eTicket may be safely stored with other cards (i.e. payment cards).
Information on eTicket may be recorded only at Sale Terminals.
The card is issued for 10 years
If your card is lost or stolen, report it immediately, personally at the Customer Service Office No 1 in Gdynia (Kilińskiego Street 16) to complete and sign complaint application.
eTicket provides a high level of security. Information about your account balance is recorded on the card as well as in the computer database. Physical destruction, theft or losing the card does not cause a loss of a personal ticket. Ticket can be recreated using computer database
Bearer cards, in case of destruction, loss or theft will not be restored
Personal Database, created to support eTicket, was submitted to the registry of General Inspector for the Protection of Personal Data (GIODO). Zarząd Komunikacji Miejskiej in Gdynia (ul. Zakręt do Oksywia 10, 81-244 Gdynia) is the administrator of personal data
Personal data are processed in connection with the issuance of eTicket, recharging or encoding tickets and also to provide the records, in accordance with the Act on Personal Data Protection (DZ.U.02.101.926)
General Inspector for the Protection of Personal Data (GIODO) examines in detail the systems used for collecting, processing and storing personal data. In particular the technical measures used to ensure the security of the processed data as well as the subjects entitlement to register the data files are checked. The database registration with GIODO means the compliance of data processing with the provision on the protection of personal data (names, address, PESELs and attached photos). It also means the customers personal data submitted to ZKM in Gdynia are protected at each stage of the process. We can assure our clients that their data will be used only for the purpose of creation or recreation of eTicket.
